Artist's Comments

After receiving some good feedback on an imaginary creature, I went reading the past couple of weeks regarding basic skeletal structure rules, and then used sketching time to detail this critter and a few others. I attempted to stay with an S-curve spine (and I won't even mention the word notochord), and tried to keep the pelvic area true to the size of the creature.

I like it! Was it, by any chance, based off a sea horse?
:icongrondhammar:
I have no idea what that is, but hopefully it's good? :) Glad you like it.
:icongrondhammar:
A bit, yes. The curve of the back was based on a seahorse, but it got a bit walrusy in the way its hind legs are attached, and a bit human-like in the way its front legs attach. I'm having fun playing with vertebrae! :)

Wow, now that is truly impressive. The body structure and the level of detail turned out great! I'm glad you took that person advice. The difference is very noticeable. :D
